Dandadan chapter 180 recap
Okarun’s popularity has increased (Image Via Science SARU)
Okarun and his group of friends are seen standing around in the corridor as Kouki walks around the school talking to teachers. Kinta keeps an eye on her surroundings through the Nanoskin glasses and says she has already talked to three teachers. First was Queen Sensei, who asked her about how she was after the incident. Second was the Class E homeroom teacher Miss Adachi, who talked to her about the class. Lastly, Sanjome asked her what secret she spotted. Momo says that he’s the most suspicious, while Okarun remembers Sanjome asking him the same thing.
However, Kinta tells them not to jump the gun as Sanjome didn’t say anything about the knives. Aira takes the glasses from him, and the nanoskin changes them into the shape of Okarun’s glasses. Aira is embarrassed and friendly banter emerges between her, Okarun, and Momo. The scene changes to the PE teacher asking Miss Adachi if she went outside. She smiles and answers that she went home to check on her sick mother. She turns down a basketball singles mixer offer.
After the man leaves, we see the Jiangshi vampires walking behind her, and some messages on her phone reveal that she is the other person behind the attack on Seiko and her friends. We then see Hase, the guy who lost to Okarun during PE class, bothering two girls. He sees that they’re talking about how attractive Okarun is, which angers him. He is frustrated about everyone’s perception of him changing, and he blames the protagonist for it. He then takes out a white Kozuka pocket knife.
A flashback shows a disembodied voice talking to him about how he can beat Okarun. They offer him two knives, one white and one black. The voice instructs him to cut himself with the white knife to gain powers. After that, he must make Okarun admit defeat and steal his powers with the black knife. Back to the present, Hase uses the white knife on himself and thinks that it must be a joke. However, a creepy Yokai looks over from his shoulder in the final panel.
Dandadan chapter 180 review
Miss Adachi controls the Jiangshi vampires (Image via Yukinobu Tatsu, Shueisha)
The latest chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga came with many revelations. Readers were shocked to see the unassuming teacher Miss Adachi being the one who controls the Jiangshi. It seems that she is also involved with Sanjome, or whoever it is that wants to take all the characters’ powers. The fact that she’s at the school makes her a dangerous element. On the other hand, Hase receiving new Yokai powers from the same person who forced Kouki to attack Momo is an interesting development.
Fans are eager to learn more about Hase’s newfound powers and what he’ll do with them, and the next chapter will likely disclose the Yokai’s nature. If Hase attacks Okarun, it will be quite dangerous for him as he doesn’t have Turbo Granny’s powers anymore. However, Momo, Aira, and the others will probably face off against Hase to save Okarun. On the other hand, Seiko might visit the Izumo Taisha shrine to get her hands on the Uchide no Kozuchi hammer that can turn Momo back to her normal size.
