The manga will publish its next chapter on March 26.
The latest chapter of You Chiba’s action-comedy manga left fans on a massive cliffhanger. Not only did fans see Doug joining the enemy ranks, but they also learned Lyla’s real identity. Moreover, at the end of the chapter, the author added a note thanking all their fans for their continued support. They also mentioned that the next chapter of the manga will mark the beginning of the series’s final arc.
But even though it’s the last arc, there’s still a long way to go. The author mentioned that they’ll be taking an extended break due to back pain issues. The author also posted the same on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. According to the Manga Plus website, the next chapter of the manga will be published on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 12 AM JST (Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11 PM SGT, 8:30 PM IST, 8 AM PST).
Chapter 102 of the manga starts out with the battle between Leo’s group and the kindergarten teachers. However, the teachers soon realised that they couldn’t stop the enemies from taking Lyla with their limited resources. Sensing the danger everyone’s in, Doug decides to leave with Leo, pretending to change sides for his convenience. However, it’s pretty apparent to everyone that he’s trying to help the teachers when they find a GPS tracker still on him. After the villains leave with Lyla and Doug the Principal interrogates Rita and the other teachers on what happened. After getting a brief from them, she understands that someone lured her away from her post so they could kidnap Lyla.
She then explains to the criminals-turned-kindergarten teachers that Lyla is a clone. About 100 years ago, a genius by the name of Lyla Clark invented a weapon of mass destruction. She then created a clone with the same abilities as the weapon. Even if Lyla’s body is destroyed, her cells can be used to make another weapon of mass destruction. After that, she tells the teachers that she’ll kill them since they failed to protect the children. However, we see that the whole kindergarten has moved to New York two months later. It seems that Leo’s group, Doug, and Lyla are in the same city, which means the final battle will begin soon.
